Short Description

 

We are seeking a results-driven Business Development Manager to accelerate the growth of Sallybase Solutions. This role is crucial for both new logo acquisition (hunting for new clients) and maximizing value from our existing client base through account management (farming). The BDM will manage the entire sales cycle, from lead generation to contract closure and ongoing relationship development.


 

Primary Role and Responsibilities

 

 

1. New Logo Acquisition (Hunting)

 

Identify, prospect, and qualify new business opportunities with potential clients in target sectors.

Develop and execute strategic outreach plans to generate a robust pipeline of new leads.

Conduct presentations, solution demonstrations, and manage the sales process from initial contact through negotiation and final closure of new contracts.

 

2. Account Management & Expansion (Farming)

 

Cultivate and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing clients to ensure high levels of satisfaction and retention.

Identify and pursue opportunities for upselling and cross-selling additional services or solutions within the current client portfolio.

Serve as a key point of contact for strategic accounts, ensuring the delivery team meets client expectations and business objectives.

 

3. Strategy & Reporting

 

Collaborate with the leadership team to define market strategy, pricing, and service offerings.

Maintain accurate records of all sales activities and pipeline status using the company's CRM system.

Provide regular forecasts and reports on business development activities, market trends, and competitive landscape.


 

Required Qualifications & Skills

 

Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. An MBA is a plus.

Experience: 2+ years of experience in B2B sales or business development, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding aggressive sales targets in both acquisition and account growth.

Communication: Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills; ability to articulate complex technical solutions to a non-technical audience.

Core Competencies: Strong negotiation skills, self-motivation, strategic thinking, and proficiency with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
